Track Of The Day :: Work Drugs - American Fool

Words: Sam Geary

Smooth as silk, soft as butter and as caressing to the ears as a lover's kiss...enough of all that shizz, but 'American Fool', taken from the upcoming new album by Philadelphia's Work Drugs called 'Method Acting', really is that kinda song.

"The song is about enjoying the moments in life and not getting bogged down in the day to day grind, which we all fall victim to from time to time," Ben Louisiana, one half of the dreampop duo (with Thomas Crystal), tells us. "We all play the part of someone, and occasionally we let it all go, albeit sometimes only on a random Saturday night dance floor."

Take some down time and stream the 'sedative-wave' track below. If you like what you hear, scroll down further for the bunch of  US shows in August. The live band currently consists of Crystal (vocals/guitar), Louisiana (vocals/keys), along with Jonas Ohh (drums), Mr. Kansas City (bass), and Katie Nicks (vocals/percussion).

'Method Acting' is out on August 5 via Bobby Cahn Records.
