Watch: Sheffield's The SSS are 'The One You Need'

Words: Linn Branson

A Little Indie One To Watch discovery from the snowy winter of early 2013, Sheffield’s The SSS have since come on in leaps and bounds, including a debut EP ‘Love, Lust, Loss’ last year, playing the Isle of Wight Festival, and even managing to sell out their hometown venue The Leadmill.

If they are still a new name to you, take a listen to 'The One You Need’, the band's upcoming third single, released on November 11.

With influences ranging from Joy Division to Arctic Monkeys, the band's riff-rich, dark and gritty indie pop sound translates well on this latest track - arguably their best yet - mixed in with Josh Coddington delivering those engaging northern vocals.

If you like what you hear, then catch them live at the following dates next month:

November
25 Leeds Verve Bar, Kazoopa Festival Launch Party
26 Sheffield Sheffield City Hall

December
03 London The Workshop, Shoreditch
05 Amsterdam The Waterhole
