Sauce stream their rock 'n' psych debut EP

Words: Ellie Ward

Released last Friday (October 12), Manchester's psych rock 'n' rollers Sauce now stream their four-track debut EP, 'The Liquid Love EP', online for your aural pleasure.

Produced by Alex Greaves (Bloc Party, Avalanche Party) at The Nave in Leeds, ‘The Liquid Love EP’ is topped and tailed by 'There's A Fool' and
'Magick Trick' heard earlier in the year, along with new tracks 'Give Up Everything' and 'Shards Of Sunshine'. While the latter is a seemingly straight forward, powerful groover, it's hazy outro delivers the sort of unexpected twist Sauce are becoming increasingly known for. As for 'Give Up Everything' - it's the sound of a band taking every one of their influences, slapping their own stamp on them, then taking the listener on a breathtaking trip for over eight minutes.

"'The Liquid Love EP' is Sauce in a nutshell," says drummer George Stead. "Four songs that we've loved writing, love playing live and loved recording. There’s a reason we’ve played these tunes in our live set for over a year now. The crowd’s reaction to these tunes has always stood out more than others. These four tracks are who we are from start to finish, and that we're proud of."
