Suck it and see might be the perfect adage for Ben Woods’ 'Lozenge'.
The debut solo release for the Christchurch, New Zealand multi-instrumentalist and former Salad Boys member, is a two-minute alt-garage pop fuzzy nugget of sound.
Woods has now followed the catchy number up with an accompanying video, directed by Slovenian filmmaker Martin Sagadin - and shot at Woods' workplace, Space Academy, a venue and cafe in Christchurch.
With a first album in the offing, it seems we are in for more of the delightful taste of the Ben Woods sound.
Ben will be playing at Blue Smoke in Christchurch on October 18. And if you happen to be this side of the Equator, Ben, together with George Gadd, will be in the UK next month to play a one-off show on November 22 at The Fossgate Social in York.
