Camens take the 'Handbrake' off on new single

Words: Sam Geary

Newly emerging Stoke-on-Trent band Camens drop their new single 'Handbrake' today.

The indie-rock four-piece have been byst accumulating fans and praise since their debut single ‘Boys Will Stray’, and this new riff-filled, energetic number can only see them gain further momentum.

"'Handbrake' is about the car times," says lead singer Scott Powell of the song. "When you're old enough to drive but not to drink and you and a girlfriend would spend hours driving around with nowhere to go. Maccies drive through, cigarette stops on a supermarket car park, shuffle on the iPod, just driving and around together because there’s nothing better to do."

You can catch the band live on February 28 at the Crystal Ballroom in Glossop, Derbyshire.
