With the vibrant indie music scene in Australia and New Zealand constantly outshining much of the output from their British and American cousins, Little Indie picks our weekly bunch of some of the best new tracks on offer.
AYESHA A. MADON - OUTSIDE OF THE PARTY
SEATHRU - GOOD ATTITUDE
LICKITY SPIT - MIRACLE
Adelaide punks Lickity Spit deliver some fuzzy thrash on this lead single of their debut EP, released in December. Influenced by the likes of Blink-182 and the Foo Fighters, the four-piece hone their garage-rock chops with fast-paced, catchy, distorted riffs on 'Miracle', which they say is "all about just enjoying yourself! You can take whatever you want from the lyrics in the chorus but, basically, we are saying that 'just get on the piss and smoke some hooch. It will make you feel holy!'"
FULL FLOWER MOON BAND - NEW POCKET
From their upcoming EP 'Death or Hell', out February 5, comes new single 'New Rocket' from Brisbane alt-rock outfit Full Flower Moon Band. Led by vocalist/producer Babyshakes Dillon, the follow-up to last summer's 'Roadie', is a driving, blues-infused three minutes, helmed sultrily by Babyshakes.
SMOKERS CORNER - 22 (TWENTY TWO)
Ahead of a new track coming in January, check out hip-hop threesome Smokers Corner and '22 (Twenty Two)'. The Illawarra three add a punk-eock vibe to their 80s hip-hop drums & 808s.
