You don't get too many voices like George Cosby's to the pound, that's for sure. And on this exquisite 'debut single' as is being tagged (although he has in fact been around for a good few years and this is not his first work: his output can be traced back to his 2015 EP 'Human Touch'), ‘Real Love’, he proves himself a winner from the off.
With his richly textured tones, the soul-stirring ballad that challenges traditional notions of masculinity and romance and turns them on their head. Nodding to the style and suave of Roy Orbison and the escapism of Lana Del Rey, the real surprise is that Cosby is in fact a Londoner, and not American.
A real treat.
