It may not be summer yet, but you can easily forget the grey skies of a supposedly early spring outside on listening to the sounds of Blonde Maze. The four-and-a-half minutes of the smooth 'n' easy, R'n'B flavoured electronica of 'Summer Rain' is one that just yearns for a hot sultry night; blending sparkling synths with choppy electronic beats with chilled, and dulcet vocals.
Blonde Maze is the name of the solo project from New York City-based Amanda Steckler, and 'Summer Rain' is the first taste from her upcoming debut four-track EP 'Oceans' (set for release this summer) - a work written in between New York and London, and which "represents the love, pain, excitement, and longing that comes with being an ocean away from someone or something dear to you."
